The name "Anu Thakhi" comes from the indigenous Aymara language, meaning "the dog's path." We partnered with Perro Loco Labs, a group of passionate whisky lovers from Argentina, to co-create these unique concepts of whiskies.

Perro Loco Labs has been making limited batches of whisky for some time and has built a following of fans around the world. Our paths crossed, and we found an amazing team with whom we partnered to create a line of Bolivian new world whiskies.

Perro Loco's concept of "Rover Distillers" allows them to travel the world and create unique styles of whisky with different producers. Their journey brought them to the Andes, where they stopped and created Anu Thakhi.

We crafted a unique mash bill for Anu Thakhi, which is currently aging in very specific selected barrels. The white dog that filled these barrels was so tasteful that we decided to create a white whisky. Under the name Anu Thakhi, we have already developed two unique concepts, each with a special mash bill and approach.

Overall, Anu Thakhi is a whisky that represents the spirit of collaboration and experimentation. We are excited to continue working with Perro Loco Labs to push the boundaries of what a whisky can be and share our passion with whisky lovers around the world.

Our Varieties

Anu Thakhi
Quinoa White Spirit

Anu Thakhi is a unique distilled spirit made from Bolivian quinoa.

It is the first of its kind, using a blend of black, red, and white Bolivian Royal Quinoa (which has a denomination of origin) mixed with a touch of local malted barley. The result is a tasteful and sophisticated white spirit that challenges the notion that whisky must be aged to be considered a whisky.

Anu Thakhi is not just a spirit, it's a celebration of Bolivia's rich cultural heritage and the unique flavors that can be found in our country. It takes you on a journey to the early mornings in the altiplano, where the dew releases the essence of our soil. Among the variety of tasteful white spirits that are now trending, our quinoa spirit stands out as the only one with a royal title.

This elegant and complex spirit showcases the best of Bolivian ingredients and pays tribute to our country's rich history and traditions. Anu Thakhi is the perfect way to experience the unique flavors of Bolivia, and it's a must-try for anyone looking to explore the world of spirits.

Anu Thakhi Whisky

Combining the two Bolivian denominations of origin

This recipe was carefully crafted for adventurous malt lovers. Our high malt recipe is complemented with white Royal Quinoa, white and yellow corn, and aged in selected barrels that first held bourbon and then corn whiskey. As our whisky ages, we season the finishing barrels with a legendary Bolivian spirit called Singani.

Singani is a brandy made from Muscat of Alexandria grapes with a rich history that dates back to colonial times. It's produced in some of the oldest vineyards in America and has a protected denomination of origin, much like Royal Quinoa. We struggled to find producers willing to age their Singani, but after an extensive search, we partnered with an incredible family of wine and Singani producers.

Our whisky finishes aging in these seasoned barrels, which impart a unique flavor profile that perfectly complements the malt, quinoa, and corn blend. The result is a truly exceptional whisky that pays tribute to Bolivia's rich cultural heritage and unique flavors.
